I'm a junior ad man and I just learned new hires are making nearly as much at I do, straight off. How should I go about getting a raise?

Your boss won’t give you more buck, unless he thinks he’s getting more bang. It’s not professional to demand a raise because the starting salary of those new to the trenches has increased. What have you done that demonstrates you deserve more? Sign any new accounts? Find a savey way to save the firm money? If not, roll up your sleves and get some dirt under your fingernails and try not to take out your frustration on the new guy-it’s not his fault you suck.
